Shadow is a lucky duck. I have been following this tie for a long time, hoping to assist a dog in Canada. Shadow lived in proximity and I am thrilled to say I am training him for six weeks to prepare him to move to Calgary/Florida as a companion animal to Layla, the Shep/Collie mix in a youthful retired person's home. Snowbirds! Rescue Me makes miracles happen. Shadow is not a biter. Shadow has been out without a muzzle with my black and tan, walking side by side like brothers. The world is a big place when you have been in a crate or alone all day for four years. His life is going to open up immeasurably. I hope I can assist again. Much love, Valorie

Rescue Me was a great help to us finding Sweet Pea a forever home. When we rescued her from the foreclosed property, we were not sure how we were going to keep her. Posting her on your site gave her a chance for a second chance at a happy life. The couple that adopted her were perfect. They had plenty of land for her to run and another dog to play with. After meeting them, we knew we could not of found her a better home. Thanks to Rescue Me, she will have a very happy forever home.

This was one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make, but with our relocating I didn't feel it was in Gracie's best interest to make the trip. Not sure where to start looking, I was no way going to leave him at a shelter because we had rescued him from one. When I found this web site, I reviewed and read the blogs and became convinced that this really might be legit. I posted Gracie and unbeknownst to myself we had a wonderful retired couple who lost their dog to cancer and was hoping to reunite with another dog to replace their Bosco. After we met them, we prayed that Gracie would be just what they were looking for and when they came and saw Gracie, they fell in love on the spot. I have never been so happy then now to see Gracie going to a new loving home with so much potential. Thank you Rescue Me.

Lars is a very sensitive, shy dog who came to me as a stray. It was a challenge finding an adopter whom I trusted to work with his fearful nature and be consistently positive and gentle with him, so I had him for many months and posted him on many different sites. I was contacted by some nice people, however, and all the best prospects came to me through Rescue Me...probably because people who went specifically looking for a white Shepherd were more likely to understand and embrace Lars' shyness and anxiety. Finally, I heard from a dream-come-true adopter who contacted me through Rescue Me. She was a woman who works from home and has spent her life rescuing needy cats, dogs, rats, and other species and volunteering for the shelter. I brought him to her a few days ago, and she reports that Lars is already bonding with her and her son. She is unfazed by his issues and committed to working with him and earning his trust completely. I think Lars is beginning to relax and feel more comfortable, since he is in a place with someone who has time to work with him and help him feel more confident. It is a huge relief that Lars has found his forever home, and I am grateful for your site!

Jeff, I found Missy thru Rescue Me! and adopted her from Tandy at Fain Farm Fescue. I have been doing rescue for over 25 years myself. I will have her completely checked out at the vet once I get my new baby girl! Its been 4 1/2 years since i lost Dusty who had my heart for 18 1/2 yeras! Then I saw Missy! She just had this look in her eye and she's just beautiful. I slept on it, and couldn't get her out of my thoughts. Thanks for all you do, Jeff, and Randy. It takes all of us to find homes for these unwanted fur babies! It's a thankless job, but its so rewarding for all of us each and every time we find another one a home and save another life! Thanks so much for saving Missy, Randy, and allowing her into my life! Beth

Dear Rescue Me, I hated the idea of giving up my Lily. I was introduced to her by a Humane Society foster mom when she was little and she has been a fantastic dog for two years. She is smart and provides lots of love. Unfortunately, I travel a lot and it was getting harder and harder to find a sitter and Lily needs plenty of attention. I tried this site and started receiving calls right away. I found what I believe is a very good home to place her in. The adopting Mom lives in my area and offered me visitation, which is the best thing I could have hoped for. Thanks for providing this service! Sincerely, Phil
